Difference between control run and scenario

To be able to compare results from climate scenarios based on different emission scenarios and climate models, all maps on this website show the difference between a model's contrul run and the scenario run. This is interpreted as the expected change of a certain climate variable.

Dry period

A dry period is here defined as a series of consecutive days with total precipitation lower than 1 mm.

Longest dry period:

Duration of the longest series of dry days during a season/the year.

Number of dry periods:

Number of dry periods with a duration of at least 6 days during a season/the year.

This website is steadily updated, thus some results may change.
